hi all,

Sorry to have been absent for so long, I have been starting up my studio buisness. i also have been building some cool snow terrain & some conversion work as well.

I was asked to build a 9x4 table, to look like a abandonded mining complex on a blizzard world...

Here is a shot of my drilling platform( this piece is massive!)

Here is a shot of a hab I built.....

I also built some hills and such, as well as a surveyor mountain, with a platfoprm on top, that doubles as a dice tower. I included 4 lights in it, so you could see the ice on the back walls of the cave, where the dice roll out... I will post pics, as soon as I can take some. Pleas see my blog for more pics.

Hope you like!

Re: Well hi there, did you miss me?

Great stuff dude. I saw this on your Blog last night

Clever use of Knex pieces on the drilling platform, toys can make for great miniatures with a little work.
My favourite piece has got be Hab though. I was watching 'The Thing' (totally classic film) only the other night and this reminds me of the research station ... Hmm stranded Scientists fighting some kind of Chaos Spawn type creature with a Mimic ability could make for an interesting game.

Very impressive 'BIG' stuff.I bought some figures from Langley miniature(00 trains) enough to do a church graveyard/funeral scene with lych gate, grave diggers, hearse with horses & even the Lord Mayor to attend with a band-concieved when I was a bit 'depressed' but never got around to it;not even sure I would have room for it once completed & Jacqui(my wife) would hate it.forgot where I put the bits now.So I am in awe of what you do mate.Do you do this for a living full time?Seeing that shack reminds me of James Blish "Fallen Star" & the original Howard Hawks 1950's "The Thing"...................."Watch the skies!".You definitely need space & to be organised to do this.
