WIP on converting a plastic troll by Caesar Miniatures.
The original miniature came with a set of 1/72 adventures but is about the size of 28/30mm Troll, so I'm working on turning it into a Forest Troll for my 28/30mm games

Re: WIP Troll

Thanks dude, I think the next stage will be adding some warts and scales and then finding a base for it ... I think I'll also add a loin-cloth to cover that the bastard has no pintel.

Yeah some sort of loincloth would put him more in stead with the warhammer trolls too. You've got a pretty heafty collection of trolls now huh? think the only kind I've not seen you have would be a river troll and I have one of those somewhere!

Simple but very effective!

(Much better than my early Space Marine conversions to Chaos using cocktail sticks and plastic fork prongs ...)

Re: WIP Troll

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that one, that's an awesome model. You really should do a showcase of all the differant monster types you have, I bet it'd be a fair number of differant types.

Well I had some greenstuff left over from another bit of conversion work I was doing the other night, so I picked up the plastic Troll again and added a few scales. It’s starting to look quite Warhammer-y now
Troll WIP

I’ve also noticed that in it’s original state the miniature bore a strong resemblance to a creature on a Magic: The Gathering card

I’m not going to steer my conversion this direction at all, in fact the stupid ears had to go IMHO and I’m not about to go adding an extra set of little T-rex arms to it’s waist, but if anyone out there for whatever reason wanted a miniature of whatever the hell MTG creature is, I’d recommend this a good starting point … you mad bastard

More Trollish body building fun when I’ve found a nice rock or something for the base …

Just shows that conversion do not all have to be major surgery. It does look better(the long ears were silly)...........in my ignorance when I saw 'WIP Troll' I expected to see a Troll with long tentacle fingers like 'bullwhips'?

You say that now, but but there's a lot more work to be done on this yet ...
