On Saturday, 20 August 2011 Triple Helix Wargames in Westbury will be hosting 'The Day of the Damned'
to celebrate our Forum's 3rd year of existence and to try and get as many of our members in one place at once.

What you want to do at the even is up to you, the Triple Helix Wargaming Centre will be ours for the day!
so we are going to need YOUR input, what would you like to do?

some suggestions are:
+ Mass Participation Games

+ Arrange games of your favorite system with other members and bring along your armies

+ A IQ style quiz on all aspects of gaming and the hobby

+ A painting and modeling competition

+ We may even be able to have a bar on the day

Remember people of the forum this is YOUR EVENT, for you!

All going well we should have some tLatD merchandise for sale on the day, which should include T-Shirts, Mugs and Wrist Bands (other products may follow)

I have been toying with the idea of making one of the 8'x4' tables into a giant Talisman board using different terrain pieces to represent the spaces

I for one would ban all but first and second editions of 40k. Also we could add maybe a couple of games of Warmachine.

I'll probably turn up with some stuff to run a historical game or two if people are interested.

I could also do a space combat game. Star Trek based or generic sci-fi or whatever pleases people.

I could probably bring some 40K too if worst comes to worst.

Oh and I'll try and get some zombies painted for Messy's zombie game.

Shit yea, I'll need to paint zombies or they'll be spread between yucky greys and lovely fleshy wonderlands of pain D:

With any luck, I will have a fair few survivors, so for the most part I'll be able to cater for a few people at once..
