Spectral Reapers

These are 3 'Spectres' from Black Tree Design's Undead range – in my games they are used as 'Spectral Reapers' and have all the same stats as Skeletal Reapers (Skeleton Warriors with scythes) but are also Ethereal. They are sometimes confused with Wraiths but are much less powerful and have no minds of their own. Still they are difficult opponents if only because being Ethereal makes them very hard to damage.

The nearest thing these miniatures got to any conversion was having the slotter-tabs removed and being pinned directly to textured plasticard covered bases, but I do have a 4th one that I am converting to carry a 2 handed sword.
Paint jobs are very little to write home about, my normal bone, metal and wood techniques and grey stone for the base. The 'ectoplasmic' lower halves of the miniatures were highlighted up from Citadel Regal Blue, through Enchanted Blue and Ice Blue to a final highlight of Ice Blue mixed with Skull White - I blended a little of this up into the lower part of the torsos and also onto the bases to try and add to the Ethereal look of the miniatures. The eye of the one in the centre got similar treatment to the lower halves

Sorry no bonus pictures this time, but we did use the Spectral Reapers in Saturday's Quest game 'The Lost Crypts' so Rob may have some pictures of these miniatures in action along side other Undead creatures which we could post some time later ...
