Space Hulk Doors Closed and Open Heroquest style

I created some space hulk doors before I realized that GW was planing on re-releasing space hulk. (which I didnt find out about until AFTER they quit selling it again DOH!) I used screen shots I collected of various games of space hulk and a bit of my own creativity to make doors that can be opened and replaced with an open model much like the style of heroquest, Hope someone can make some use of these.

Ok better late then never, (had hard drive failure) Here are the Space Hulk 3ed doors that Mortis made, along with some edited ones I made. Open and Closed Versions Set of six for each. The Space Hulk 3d door I made from a Pic of the actual door and edited it to make it square.

I hope to remake my original doors both open and closed with higher quality scans of the 2ed space hulk doors soon. Im also considering updateing my Advanced Space Crusade/Tyranid Attack doors as well.

I can see about making/finding some higher quality scans of the 2nd edition Space Hulk doors (I think I have some re-working of the 3rd edition doors posted on here somewhere you could use as a starting point for some more of these)

Ya that would be awesome, all I had to work with was screen shot pics. No one I talked too actually had good quality scans of the originals. and me being in a hurry to play space hulk (and still not having played it yet lol) created those to print out when I ever get around to it.

I'd make open versions of them like the hero quest ones if someone could upload them. Me living in the states getting access to old GW games with out buying them off ebayGB (like how I got Space Marine and Space Crusade) is nearly impossible.

I had actually downloaded the doors from mortis a good while ago but I had totally forgot where I had got them, and I didn't just want to go uploading someone elses doors with an "Opened Version". Now that I know there his, and if he don't mind, AND I have the real Space Hulk doors from the second edition version I guess I got my work cut out for me making all the opened door versions of them all, cause I dono about everyone else, but it may seem like a minor detail, but to me it makes a TON of difference. I got one other major thing on my plate im working on, is the Blips points, and stats for All Tyranid and Chaos Space marine armys (including vehicles for Space Crusade), So I'll prob work on them both at the same time off and on till there finished.

Just an Update. I had a massive hard drive failure and lost all my works in progress and entire collection. luckly I already uploaded all the completed stuff. I just now started back to createing new things. I've got all Mortis 3rd E SH Closed doors done, and I got one more to make I found a good screen shot of. Then Im going to make all the open door versions. I need some oppinions though. Should I make them like I made the last ones and let part of the open doors be vissible or just make them empty door frames?

**EDIT** and also because of Captin Kabeered's link to the PDF's of Second Eddition SH stuff I will probably redo my original doors, give it that cleaner look, since mine where actually just based off actual photos of the game being played edited to be useable lol. if anyones got the rest of the 3rd Eddition doors or know where to get them to help me make opened versions of them let me know. Anyone got any advise on how to make new or open space crusade doors? They don't really have a door frame. Maybe I should make a copy of the originals and put door frames around them so when I make the opened versions theres still a door frame visible? any ideas would be great.

**EDIT 2** New Mortis Doors are now online. I threw in a few new ones, removed some battle damage from some, removed lettering from some, and created a totally new one. The light is at the bottom though I'll have to flip flop it when I get a chance and re-upload them.

Here are some Idears I have had for SC door ways. I remebered that when I 1st got SC the doors were dire cut attched to the Cross sections The door frames that attach to the board joiners. (The black plasic clips in the shape of a cross for the top and a T for keeping the sides in place.)

Instructions to attach and make door frames:-

Step  1. Print Door_Frames_6.png,
Step  2. Fold down the middle,
Step  3. Cut out the door way section (leaving the white bits under the frame to act as a stand) or ( to use as attachment),
Step  4. Print and cut out Door_Frames_9.png,
Step  5. Attach one to each side of the door frame. The door frame will know be standing on the 'Frame Bases',
Step  6. Place on game board each side of the gray door space,

        -Optional 6a. Use the frame bases as an alternative to the existing door spaces on the boards.

Step  7. Cut two strips of paper and attach one each side of the door frame (The strips need to be a bit longer than the door frame.),
Step  8. Fold over the strip tabs and attach each one to a different 'Frame Bases'.

        - Optional 8a To give them more strength the door frames and frame bases can be attached to thin card.
 
The frame bases can be placed on the board with the door frames standing upright on top.

Step  9. Print and fold Door_Frames_7.png back to back so the frame is visable,
Step 10. Cut out the door section,
Step 11. Use some of the cut paper as strip tabs and attach to the 'Frame Bases'(See Steps 7 and 8.),
Step 12. Print out Dreadnought_Door_Frames_3.png fold along the white section and attach to the 'Frame Bases'.

Step 13. Print out Dreadnought_Door_Frames_4.png Fold along the middle left to right,
Step 14. Cut out the door space keeping the white space of the frame as tabs,
Step 15. Fold over the remaning white tabs and attach to the opposite sides white tab.

P.s. I like seeing the door harlf open i.e. not fully open as it add to the run down space ship is going to need to find a dry dock soon feel.
P.S.2: Althogh it might be difficult for line of site and manoovering through the door gaps. It would be good to have a full set of your partly open doors.

It is good too mix and match the original doors and your extra and new doors, amongst others. Having some fully open, parshally open, and closed.

Thanks! been needing the SH3 doors for a while now that will help out TONS. Im thinking about completly remaking the SC walls. that off center bad cut yellow stripe around where the door frame should be has always bugged the crap out of me. (OCD I guess lol) So what Im thinking about doing is just make that yellow stripe part of the door frame that i make. (for the ones that have the yellow stripe or do they all? been a while since i opened my SC box lol)

I got tied up with making pirate flags, and nations flags for my broad sides and boarding parties game. Ive got to upload my dark angels banners still There finished except for the biker flags. Once I finish that Ill start on making SH3 doors. And high res SH2 doors. then all we need is SH1 doors. I think i had one somewhere but might have lost it lol.

I got some new stuff to upload but I got a question. Can someone confirm for me that the Space Hulk doors are actually bigger then the Space Crusade doors and/or give me a size comparison? I'm redoing the walls to space crusade to accept either set of doors but I'm not sure what size difference is.
