Space Crusade Dreadnought

The old Chaos Dreadnought from the now defunct Space Crusade game.

Originally it wasn't painted by me but by a friend.
Over the years, wear and tear chipped away at the paint job and I repainted it.
Since I was playing a Black legion army for Warhammer 40000 at the time I gave it a fitting colour scheme: Black.
With bolt gun metal details. With a black wash.

Imaginative, hunh?

Observe the Blue Öyster Cult logo on the dreadnought.
It has been a recurrent symbol for my chaos minis over the years.

Good to see an old classic given new life - Space Crusade Dreadnoughts are quite sort-after these days apparently; I have 7 of these sitting round in boxes, some untouched, others need restoring - 4 of them reside in my Space Crusade minis box waiting to be brought out for their next mission!

Yea, it is a strange creature compared to the dreads we have these days, but it was menacing enough way back when.

Reminds me of the old IG sentinel, personally, and that's why I want one e_e

I actually prefer this dread over the new ones, although, granted the new dreads are way better cast and have a lot more options.

It's the whole vaguely insectoid "mood" I get from the SC-dread that works for me.
Especially when you use the long legs.
