I recently found an old White Dwarf article about using secret weapons in Blood Bowl, most of the rules updates contained within it are out of date but it did present an interesting idea. It added rules for normal players to have secret weapons in the Dwarf & Chaos Dwarf teams, mostly because the teams are great weapon makers and the weapons themselves are almost signature weapons for those teams.
I'd like to add these weapons to the Dwarf & Chaos Dwarf teams, as they'd make those teams more fun to play, but why stop there? Are there any other teams that have a signature weapon that you'd like to see included in the rosta? No more than 1 per team. My ideas so far are Dwarf - Chainsaw & Bombs* Chaos Dwarf - Blunderbus* Orc - Chainsaw Human - Chainsaw Elf - Dagger (Dark elf already have 2 per team) Skaven - Ball & Chain Vampire - Dagger * - These are the recomendations of the article |

Going by the kind of model's that are out there my suggestions would be
Goblins: Chainsaw Pogo Stick Ball and Chain Mad Cap Mushrooms (for use with Ball and Chain) Net Bomb Skaven: Poisoned Daggers Fighting Claws Blow Pipe Plague Censor Poisonwind globe also in IMHO the Ball and Chain isn't a very Skaven like weapon Ogres: Huge Club Meat Cleaver Lead Belcher (basically a looted cannon used like a blunderbuss) Undead: Meat Cleaver (for Zombies) Scythe (for Skeletons) Lizard Men: Blow Pipe Daggers Humans: Fish, Sock Puppets and Assorted Farm Tools

You would!
Peaty is NOT coming back! Okay following on from Mortis' comments, Lets keep this to weapons that there are already rules for shall we? ![]() So if we leave out the stuff mortis came up with that's not covered in the rules we're left with the Skaven, the Ogres cannon & the Lizardmen dagger. Since the Goblins already get Chainsaw, Ball & Chain, Pogo Stick & Bombs in their team list, and is the main reason I'm getting a goblin team! Dwarves have the Death Roller and Dark Elves have the Dagger as it stands now. Skaven: There is a new Star Player in the updated rules which is a Skaven Ball & Chain weilder, the main point with the B&C is it's almost totally uncontrollable and too big for the person weilding it. ![]() The fact Skaven get Mutations as a normal skill is why I don't think you need to have Dagger weilders on a skaven team, since they can all grow massive claws and not be sent off for having them! ![]() Ogres: Ogres with a blunderbus? What makes you think they could work out how to use it? Bone-Head means on a full team of Ogres (6) one is gonna forget what he's doing EACH TURN. ![]() ![]() Lizardman: Well since they do have a star player (Skink) with a dagger I've go no problem with this, but I know very little about the lizardman teams so I'll have to do some extra reading. |

I figure the ogre doesn't need to, he just needs to hold it and make an attempt at aiming, all the brain work would be done by the little Gnoblar on his shoulder. Check this out: ![]() the Plague Censer Bearer I figure should work more like whatever special attacks a Demon of Nurgle would get in BB as for poisoned daggers, if skaven are going to have a signature weapon it would have to be poisoned daggers, skaven are all about poison and back stabbing ![]() the poison could work in the same way as the sting in the scorpion's tale - see 'Wandering Monsters' for Dungeon Bowl Second Edition WD113 also 'Big Strong And Stupid' in WD104 might also help anyway as you said, we'd better get used to the rules before we start adding new stuff so for now lets stick with what we've got

As I said before Skaven don't need to have Daggers, as they have access to the Mutations Skills which includes Claws. Which do exactly the same thing as the dagger.
Yes it's a signature weapon, but un-needed on the Blood Bowl fields when you have claws, and can't be sent off for using them! |
