it should have been so nice... yesterday I ordered my Trojan from the Lenton store, and at 4.30pm today I was told it was ready to be collected.
this is what i bought:
the confusion mostly came from how this model fits together and has abstract concepts like "straight lines"first off, the kit comprises a top hull section, a rear section, two top doors and a rear lower hull section. the actual casts we OK and there was not too much flash or rubbish. however there were the actual vents where the resin was poured in, and to be honest they were a bit messy, excessive and dissapointing.
the top hull section was twisted so i had to pour boiling water on it and fit it to the hull from the plastic chimera.
the back hull section really didnt want to glue itself to the upper hull.
the whole rear lower section is a real joke, it really wont fit so im going to have to bit part round it.
I know its an old kit, but its newer than the Destroyer and that was ok.
the worst thing is, unlike the Destroyer which felt like it had some sort of value (£40 for a russ chassis is not that bad) the same price for a chimera chassis is steep.
shocking fit and to be honest shows quite a low level of respect to its customer base.
iv worked ROUND the problems, but the bottom line is, WHY SHOULD I?
