WHATS THE MODEL?
Space marine scout landspeeder storm
PRICE?
probably £18 but the way GW raise their prices christ knows
WHATS THE THINKING THEN?
I have had this model for some time and have not yet written a review. Why, dear reader, is this? is it my usual level of GW-rage has gone so high i can no longer type? No.
the fact of the matter is this model is so wicked awesome boss that i didnt want to A: jinx it and make GW double the price and B: i wanted to do it justice.
so here is my bold statement about this model;
"apart from the gretchin models, this is by far the best value for money model GW do."
now dont get me wrong in the great scheme of things £18 is a fucking scandal. but in the world of GW its virtually free.
first off, the model itself looks amazing. there is a level of detail here that makes me wet. the fit is perfect and as I and many others have found it lends itself to conversions very easily.
but the real reason why the world creams over this model is this- if you are clever, brave and have a big cock you will be able to use the scouts as an infantry squad- fact. don't believe me? check this shit out baby.
and the flyer is still fully game legal without the scouts on. so that to me is a good deal.
its hard to praise GW when you see shit like the new river trolls, ALL the beastmen range and the new Pask mini but just once in a while the remind you why you love them.
6 GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS MODEL:
1. detail and fit are spot on
2. very versatile and is a diarama in itself
3. good level of percieved value for money
4. it looks cool on the table
5. its a gift to good painters and modelers
6. the scouts can be made cooler with bitz off the normal scout sprue
6 SHIT THINGS ABOUT THIS MODEL
1. its still £18 for load of placcy, really
2. not every SM chapter can take em (boo fucking hoo- with your 4-stat line and your 3+ saves- get outta here)
3. the scout heads provided are a little "samey"... see 6 above
4. its not that i am fat and lazy- trust me there ARE no more shit things...

its worth a treat if you do ANY army, but if your a SM player it is too cool for skool. get one.
