Putting the rulebook together

THEFAN
A long time ago in a time period nothing like today ....  alot better actually IMO...  I recieved my first copy of Advanced heroquest.  I never played heroquest.  I went right to AHQ.  First I was part of a weekly group then I was hooked.  Anyway the topic is about the rulebook.  Putting one together.  I found the AHQ rulebook to be really spread out when trying to gather the info during game play.  One of the first things I did was photo copied all the rules and then started putting them in a binder/sleeves.  This way as I added and deleted stuff it made it a lot easier.  I then pasted and copied stuff onto areas that lacked the proper info.  example  Creating the  in the campaign section needs pg 37 right next to it.  So I now have that info right where people need it.    Today I am doing the samething now that I am back playing again.  With over 20 yrs behind me now I find myself doing things better, neater, and more cost affective.  :)  Growing up sometimes helps I guess.  This time around I am color coating sections and using thicker paper to seperate the catagories.  Also going to add some cool art pages I LIKE!!!  I plan on a Rules binder, character creating info buinder, campaign binder and GM binder.  The rules are for non GM players.  So the info will be differnet tha the GM binder.   Does anyone else do this???

I tend to find my self forced to do this by my players after the house-rules have got out of hand, at the moment I'm working on PDF of my HeroQuest house-rules which some of you on here might know as MortiS QuesT (and have been pestering me about finishing and posting ... I will do it soon!)
