Love The Tainted and the Dark Mechanicus conversion is inspired
nice work on the Ork too, were you aiming for any particular clan?

cool, he looks Bloodaxe-ish - although I don't see much khaki

You're one of those people who thinks that "khaki" means "green", aren't you? Khaki comes from the Hindi word for "dust" and refers to the dust coloured fatigues originally worn by the British Expeditionary Force in the Boer War. His trousers, tunic, helmet and shoulder pad are all khaki.
The confusion arises because, when Olive Drab uniforms were issued during the Second World War, they replaced the brown ones that had long been known as "khakis" and the OD ones retained the name. Even today, my father, an old soldier, refers to his OD working trousers as khaki, even though they're nothing of the sort.
No I'm well aware what colour Khaki is (all those years of art collage weren't as wasted as I thought), I don't know if it's something to do with the photograph, but your Ork appears to be wearing a kinda faded red

LOTR are "true" 28mm. I've used a few of them alongside regular WFB and40k models to good effect - the tech-priest above is a good example, but I also used Radoghast as a WFB wizard.

I paint thinned-down white as a wash over Astronomican Grey, gradually increasing the amount of paint and reducing the amount of water until I get pure white at the raised areas and edges.
It's based on a Nerf Recon CS-6, very slightly internally modified. I stripped off most of the logos with my sander and Dremel and then painted it in Citadel Colours.
