another great LotR mini!

BTW moved this and a few other post of your's to the Fantasy section to stop things straying off topic, due to a technical hitch (I'm working on it) I can't merge them all into one thread at the moment

Whoops, sorry!

I didn't see that post before dumping Gandalf.  I guess I need to have a "sci-fi" dump and a "fantasy dump" here at LotD.  I'll sort it out this weekend.
