PROJECT: Chimera with Heavy bolters

New patterns of Chimera arrive all the time, with different weapons and configurations. This particular vehicle is a transport from the command platoon, second company. it is armed with a heavy bolter on the turret and another in the hull. the rear fighting section las-guns are hidden behind clamshell shields. lso on this tank extra armour has been added, mostly to the front glacis plate in front of the driver. this is either due to the newer mark of vehicle having thinner front armour or the driver taking it upon himself to upgrade his own protection

i really like the new chimera kit: a lot more than i thought i would. the loss of the accessories sprue is no where near rthe scandal i thought it was as just about everything you need is there. it flies together and the fit is very good- even better than the old kit which i thought was a great one. the tracks just drop on.

on this kit i used the standard tank and the search light and smoke launcher that came with the kit. the extra armour is left over from the stormlord kit. I left off the lasguns as they just look shit.

the exhaust pipes were an experiment im not too chuffed with but there is a reason: with the optional flame unit in the turret

it can proxy as a hellhound. being a fair minded chap, putting the extra exhaust makes the vehicle look different from a chimera standard and also explains the extra speed of the hellhound... if u get my drift.

nice way to deal with the Las-guns on the back
I quite like the look of the exhausts on this one

I've got some fond memories of destroying this and some not so fond memories of having the favour returned.
