Divisional Standard Bearer made from Scion kit.

I am SO pleased with this... it all came together and honestly, I have changed my mind about the Scion kit. At first I hated them, thought they looked like Chaos Scouts... but now... in AF(R) Orange.... well. the Banner has all the things I associate with the 349th. the lightning flash, the black skull.... it just worked out perfect. even the white helmet- a happy accident. I didn't know what colour to do it, as orange would have been too much orange- there is very little of his actual uniform on show. so I left it white and... well! even the highlighting cam out great, and I am not usually a highlighting guy. in all- chuffed.

Excellent, really nice work on the banner

the white helmet and orange uniform makes me think of an X-wing pilot's uniform

Very cool. I do like the white helmet look for veterans. I'm also a very big fan of sculpted banners and that's quite a nice one.

I think this might be my pinnacle. it is by far the best model I have painted... and weirdly its one of my last. don't think iv done another after this

Cracking job!

I'm trying to avoid all things "sci-fi" at the mo' while I crack on with my fantasy stuff, but I'm glad I didn't miss this!
(Made me think back to my very early days of wargaming when we used to keep captured standard bearers
