New HQ addict signing in!

Sjeng
Hey there!

I'm Sjeng, and I've recently started cultivating an interest in HeroQuest. I've just picked up a secondhand copy of the game for a measly € 35,- with 22 extra spare miniatures to boot *laughs madly*
I've been surfing the net for extra resources, and going from Ye Olde Inn to The Site of HeroQuest, I managed to find you guys!
It's amazing how many people still play HQ, and how many extra stuff there is to find on the net.

My first thing to do is learning the rules, and then I'm going to learn how to paint the mini's.

I live in the Netherlands, where it's pretty hard to find additional HQ games (there's only 3 expansions here, RotWL, KK and MoM (=WoZ)). But thanks to the efforts of people @ Ye Olde Inn, I can probably create most of those sets myself. :)

I'll be browsing these forums for whatever goodies I can find. Nice to meet you!

Greetz, Sjeng.

Thanks everyone :D
I like those dungeon plans. They look very authentic, hand drawn and coloured in. Nice work.
I've also found the CSP website with all the maps and stuff. awesome.

And thanks on the avatar :P I love Transformers. The classic cartoon and toys were awesome. I like the new movies too though, but they don't have that nostalgic feel :)

Now, I remember having seen some 3D dungeons on here, with tiles that clicked onto each other and holes for placing walls in too. What are those? Can't seem to find them anymore :P Still getting used to this forum's layout.

edit: lol, I remembered something. I was using the search function, untill I remembered seeing some sockpuppet in there somewhere, and voila! http://the-lost-and-the-damned.664610.n2.nabble.com/More-Dungeon-Game-Pictures-td4427681.html
found it hahaha. Awesome. (I'll post there to stay on topic)

Hi Sjeng!

You sound like you'll fit in well here.  HQ (and variants of) have quite a following here!  I adore the art in games from that period - I'm very influenced by them (I think I'm going to make Fenrys my advertising rep ;) )

(Those photos in Mortis's dungeon picture thread are truly awesome)

Welcome to the forum.
