Last minute questions !!!

Stevo
This post was updated on .
Hi All, I’m about to start the campaign game with a couple of newbies and wish to make sure that I’m interpreting the following rules correctly.  All clarifications are welcome.

The “Out of Ammo” event card is played on a marine, and he replaces his heavy weapon with a bolter.
Q1.  I’ve always assumed that the heavy weapon is dropped, and therefore the Marine now moves 6 squares per turn.  Is this correct?

Later in the mission he is eliminated.
Q2:  Is his point value based on his current usable weapon, the bolter (5pts) or the original heavy-weapon that he started the mission with (10pts)?

Mission 8.  The “Mothership Commo” event card is drawn (unstable ammo) and as a consequence the marine with the missile launcher cannot fire it and has to use a bolter.
Q3:  Does the answers to Q1 & Q2 apply to this event, in the same way?

Mission 8 again.  The “Mothership Commo” event card is drawn and the text read.  I’ve always played that there is no real secondary mission to be awarded; it’s just the mother ship sending new instructions that need to be adhered to.
Q4:  Is this a real mission worth points?  If it is, how is the token won, and by whom?

Cheers, Stevo

R1: Correct!  Now he's got only a light weapon.

R2: I think that his value is 5 points.

R3: Yes. A marine must discard his heavy weapon and use a light one.

R4: Maybe, the player that gains the Secondary mission token is the one who has replaced its rocket launcher with a bolter.
AND, also, he must win the Primary mission or must be the one with the most points at the end of the game.
But it's only my hypotesis in the case that two or more marines have replaced the rocket launcher.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the reply.
Your R4 response is interesting, and something to think about.
(By the way, congratulations on your campaign “A New Hope”.  It’s fantastic; the Missions are well designed with very nice optional rules).  Cheers, Stevo

Thank you Stevo.
I'm planning to simplify some rules.
