Help wanted:Sivalizashen

jaggedjaw
Hey I was wondering if people could help me with this project (or if it even sounds like a good idea). Basically, it is a post-apocalyptic rpg and, to give you an idea of what is going on, here is a summary(it is filled with spelling errors on purpose):
Tha yere is fiv-hundread. Doent ask mi wy it is tha yere fiv-hundred, it just is. Som uf tha skolors sae, withe a mater uf fakt ness abote tham, that it is fiv-hundred yeres AFTOR. Doent ask tham whate it is aftor yule just get a hunred thousend diferant ansers. Whate we do noe, is that moest al of the majer kingedomes, empiors, end site-staits are based on tha ruens uf REALE old sities, like the Kingedome of Shikago, tha Cuebek Empiors, end the site-stait of Dizne Lande. We also do noe thet moest of oure wapens end stuf are based on tha wapens of the "Uld Unes", tha titel givn to them bi tha skolors, end that tha wapens that are frome tha Uld Unes are reale fancie. On top of al thise, is tha romers that ther is anothor "contenant" to tha est end west, but I thenk thos skolors are craze. But enufe abote al that, tha re-sen I wente ote uf mi way to paye a Pro-Grahmer to tipe al this doen, is so that futor peapel kan here tha stoare uf tha bravere uf this grupe uf travalors, end howe they re-dfined al of Sivalizashen...
I have back story on only those powers named (and a few others) and wanted help on naming and fluffing more of them (goal is 30). The ones I have (other then the ones in the story) are:
Nuorc*
Orleeins
Washengtin Deze*
Holie Wod Towne
Hardverd*
San Fransesco
Cansus Site
Ontareeo
Seatal
Millwoke*
Huestin
Meksiko Site*
Teaawna
Kold Harbore*
Seint Lueis
West Pointe
*defines some idea of back story
I'll also post more ideas when I have them. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Quests-of-legend
I'd probably re-write this without the spelling errors.

It was virtually impossible to read......as I was (trying) to read it I was concentrating so much on what the words were supposed to be, I didn't actually take in anything about the backstory.

by the way translated for you

The year is five-hundred. Dont ask me why it is the year five-hundred, it just is. Some of the skolors say, with a mater of fake ness about them, that it is five-hundred years AFTER. Dont ask them what it is after you'l just get a hundred thousend differant ansers. What we do know, is that most all of the majer kingdoms, empires, end city-states are based on the ruins of REAL old cities, like the Kingdom of chikago, the Quebec  Empires, end the city-state of Disney Land. We also do know that most of our weapons and stuff are based on the weapons of the "old ones", the title given to them by the skolors, end that the weapons that are from the old ones are real fancy. On top of all this, is the rumors that there is another "continant" to the east and west, but I think those skolors are crazy. But enough about all that, the reason I went out of my way to pay a ProGrammer to type all this doen, is so that future people can hear the story of the bravery of this group of travilers, end how they re-difined all of civilization...

well more or less

I wasn't going to have the rules in that kind of writing but, now that I read it again, I should have translations for the fluff and it in "nuspeak".
Also, thanks for helping jogar_t_hutt, I'd love to hear some of your ideas. Since you figured out the Dizne Land thing really quick, should that be the first backstory I post?

Re: Help wanted:Sivalizashen

well if you think that a good place to start then go for it. i got some ideas which mite be fun but i did come up with this

San Fransesco, after the great Cataclysm the largest & most intact part of old san fran was chinatown, soon after it nearly ript itself apart by facations of rivel streetgangs until the arivel of boss Sacco of the Yakuza Inagawa-kai. Quickly the streetgangs bosses & Lts, started meeting with accidents or switch loyalties. Boss Sacco was a very traditional man with a classical upbringing so much that within 15years it had become a classical feudal Asia.
Now 500 years later San Fransesco is a feudal fortifided city state & has more incommon with 16th century japan than the 25th century. At the moment San Fran is run by Shogun Lady Elisabeth Hiyubi which she rules with an iron sonic-katana.

i admite it needs some flashing out & 1 or 2 changes but what do you think after all its your world?

I don't want you to be discouraged, its just they'd probably think that San Francisco as super crazy and advance (so it might just fit in).  I'll do Dizne Land as an example of how they tend to think:

Dizne Land, and its sister cities, are some of the most powerful city-states in the whole world. Within their iron gates and bars are a land of technological wonder: flying animals, walking robots, talking iron carriages, and working restrooms. Dizne Land is also one of the holiest places in the world. Around the year 237 a wandering band took shelter in Dizne Land. While going through its many catacombs, they discovered an endless room filled with countless metal wheels. When they put these metal wheels in a device, and after powering it up, they discovered the that they were records of a great god: Mik-e Mose. They spent have spent years watching and recording all that has happened to this god of the Old Ones and eventually discovered that his father, Wolt Dizne, wanted the world to be at peace. The tribe quickly took on the ancient title "Mik-e Mose Klobe", and went to spread the news of Wolt Dizne and Mik-e Mose far and wide. They then set to work restoring the great temple to its former glory, a process not yet complete, and are the world leaders in robotics and science because of it. It it estimated that almost half of the world are members of the Mik-e Mose Klobe, and they are discovering and restoring more and more temples dedicated to their patron god every decade.

The only major complaint I have is that they don't know what wiped out the old ones, don't know what japan or china is, and would propably call it Chaina Towne instead of San Fransico(maybe on maps they'd put Son Francesko).

Re: Help wanted:Sivalizashen

I've run into a problem, I can't create any useful classes. So far I have:

Pro-grahmmers
Soljirs
Kabes
Huntirs
Skolirs
Otelawes
Enjinears
Wirkirs
Aktir
Biekir
Poleese
Kapton
Fisser
Sitizen
Dtekev

I wanted to get it down to about 6, but most of these aren't very good in the first place. If you could help by suggesting which ones to use, and maybe adding one or two, that would be great.

Re: Help wanted:Sivalizashen

sorry about the no updates in a while, but I have narrowed down the classes to these:
Kabbie
-Kabbies are the people who have managed to learn how to drive an "iorn kareedge" among other vehicles, and they are very good at making sure that the stupid thing keeps working, but not to good at making new things.
Pro-grahmer
-a catch all phrase to describe someone who is skilled in teknal-o-g from pre-after times. They are seen as somewhat mystical by their peers; but mainly they are too smart.
Otelawes
-Being an Otelawe simply means that you don't belong to any single town or city and that you go mucking around pre-after settlements looking for whatever you can find, or just working for hire.
Hunturs
-Hunturs are important for a group as they scavenge up food and are very skilled at killing animals. They can also double as a sort of tracker.
Soljurs
-Soljurs are people who are highly skilled in close combat situations. You want to have a large number of them in your group, if Raydurs, Band-its, Playnurs, Sand-skwaturs, Pre-sitizens or any other type of nasty bloke is in the way of your goal.
Enjinears
-these guys are gunne and wepan smiths and are capable of making a variety of equipment from just scraps of wood, bone, and metal.

Feel free to comment and suggest alterations (or new classes)
