Hello to everyone.

Umboman
I bumped into mortiS-the-lost(I think?) in Oxfam,Trowbridge whilst buying a Gamesworkshop paint/figures case & he gave me a slip of paper on this website.I was a keen model maker in my teens during the 70's(born 1960) & then life took over.I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1985 & then a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in 1998 being medically retired in Dec 1998 with Bipolar disorder & insulin dependent diabetes.......after a long period of depression I became an alcoholic & took a drug overdose-a very dark period.
Well now you can think of me as Simon the found & saved by Jesus Christ.I have been sober for 7 years now & have stated modelling again & doing diy.I scratch built full sized:Tardis,K9 & a Tomb cyberman.I still have the templates for K9 if anyone is interested.I make & paint: Samurai,Dr Who,Babylon 5,Dc comic,etc-minatures to standard size kits;I also decoupage boxes or full size cupboards.I am interested in finding out about paints & techniques & am happy to answer questions.........However I have no interest in wargaming-I am just a maker & painter,if creation/carpentry was good enough for God then it is good enough for me.God Bless you all,Simon.

Thanks for that,I like bought kits but it is nice to sometimes turn 'nothing' into 'something'.When I was about 8 I made a tardis out of 2 matchboxes....................little realising that 32 years later I would build a full size one(currently restoring it so have little time/energy left for 'models').I hope to finish the Munsters living room this winter.

I'm still working through all your modelling posts/Dr Who photos etc.  Impressive output!  I will respond to a few in a bit. :)
