so, Messyart, ADreamer and myself did an order (shared postage! yay!) with that Russian fella for his "nuclear Sandbox" miniatures that bear no resemblance to characters from a well-known video game

as i'm working on a Fallout miniatures game, i grabbed a handful of the Brotherhood of Steel guys and have been convertin' 'em to add some variety :D

i've got the first one done; a two-handed Laser Rifle.
I've used the Studio McVey bases for these first few, but i'll be randomly using other tek-bases to fit in with a Vault setting :D
I've got one i'm reposing to be kneeling, Laser Rifle aimed, then i'll do another stood with aimed laser rifle and the fifth will be a gatling laser :D

next up is a Vault Dweller from Crooked Dice - Pandora King with a pistol and a sculpted Pip-Boy 3000.

along side her is a Heresy Ghoul, again sculpted Pip-boy and some tattered clothes :)
at the bottom is this ghoul with a GW one; i've got *alot* of these guys to convert up into a horde of vault-dwelling ghouls :D

also got a Super Mutant to assemble; not sure if i'll go standard or Night Kin for that guy!

once i've got the core mechanic sorted i'll post 'em up; debating the whole SPECIAL system or cutting it down to 6 or so stats (including skills)

is that a bottle of Nuka-Cola? :D

Re: Fallout

It is indeed :D

And groovy. Perhaps if someone else puts it together, I'd enjoy playing.

Is it going to be a roaming, experience gaining kinda thing like I was planning?

the basic premise is you setup a "vault" (space hulk board sections till i can be bothered to make 3d sections!) with as many entrances as there are players ( each "entrance" is a corridor and a half) and a locked door in the centre of the board.
thinking a WHQuest style "draw a card & place the piece" to setup the vault first; expanding away from the centre piece.

Each player picks a character which has the aforementioned stats.
Vault Dweller: good all rounder
Brotherhood Of Steel: well armoured, good at hacking / setting traps
Enclave: well armoured, good at melee
NCR: good at shooting / melee
players will also draw a loot card; ranging from traps (to set!), stimpacks to weapons.

once you enter a room, there's a "random Event" (ala WHQuest) that ranges from lockers with Stuff©, locked boxes, computer terminals, turrets, ghouls and Super Mutants. once the event is dealt with the player can loot the room, gaining certain amount of Stuff©.
one of the loot cards will have a passkey on it allowing access through the centre of the board to the Overseers ' office and win the player the game :)
Loot is kept for the game and can be used; at the end, if a character survives, they can choose one peice of loot to keep permantley, the rest is sold / traded off for Caps (which serve no purpose other than to prove how good you are!)
dead characters will suffer a Death Penalty which can range from death of the character (bye bye equipment!) to hampering their abilities.
XP will be earnt from dealing with events & other players (BoS / Enclave / NCR *must* fight each other if in LoS) and, of course, winning the game and XP can be spent on increasing a players stats :)

so, i've got the activation system down and the general actions.. just need to spend some time pondering the basic statline before i put any further effort in :)
