Dungeon Squad (a rules light RPG)

Found this whilst browsing Scribd the other night thought it might be of interest to some of you.

Dungeon Squad is simple and fairly fast playing set of rules based entirely around 1 simple dice-check based resolution mechanic. The rules give you just enough to play with and plenty of room for expansion (it could do with some rules for speed/movement).

I like the way the dice mechanics work, might have to use that sometime.

Yea the dice mechanics are very similar to those used in DragonStrike, simple but effective. It would be very easy to add simple modifiers to the basic rolls to cover different situations and from there you can expand into having D&D style skill checks and an advancement system. Like I said it lacks the rules for movement needed to turn it into a game you can use with miniatures, but they would be very easy to add or steal from another system.

I'd recommend these basic rules to anyone looking for a quick-play system they can expand into a full game.
