Dungeon Plungin' cardboard dungeon game (Oversoul Gamez)

Billiam Babble
My friend on FB and at Cardboard Warriors, Kiladecus has been telling me about "Dungeon Plungin'" which looks like one of those complete dungeon crawler games (a bit like AHQ/WHQ).  I haven't looked too closely at the rules yet, but here's some links.

Oh gosh that looks so brilliant!!!  I love the cartoony looking monsters.

I've been trying to design a game where you can use any models you wish as long as they represent the creatures in the rules.  GW is good for disposable mooks like goblins & skeletons as you can buy them in plastic bulk.  Now I've seen this I'm wandering if it would be more fun to provide counters or cutout figures...

I've got to say I would not recommend GW products if you're looking to buy a lot of monsters.

for buying plastic figures 'in bulk' I'd recommend looking at Mantic's plastics

 ^ 10 Plastic Skeletons for £5.99

 ^ 10 large plastic Orcs for £9.99

or if you're looking for even more plastic miniatures for even less money you can't go wrong with EM4 Miniatures
Check out my review of their Fantasy Plastics Right Here

^ EM4 plastic Orc (on the left) 21p each or an incredible £7.70 for a bag of  50!

Wargames Factory are another company providing great value for money on their plastics

... and Finally Reaper Miniatures have taken the world by storm recently with their new and expanding 'Bones' range of ultra-high-quality plastics at bargain prices

Hey - they are brilliant!  As good as, if not better than GW.  I'll definately check them out, thanks :)

After looking at & trying various dungeon games over the past year I've started a house-rule project codenamed "DP Lite" which is a slightly more streamlined & quicker version of the Dungeon Plungin' template (although not quite as good if you like more detail/depth).

I'm probably replacing most of the charts with card decks and simplifying the hero/creature profiles.  Gonna try a game out with my friends soon...
