Dryads

After some exreme nagging and finally some threats I have promised to post a few things I have painted recently.

First here are some Games Workshop Dryads.  I know GW is a bit of a bad word sometimes but I do buy the occasional product from them though in my defense it tends to be their older stuff!

These little madams were tricky to put together being made of some rather small slender parts but with some persistance and a bit of swearing they came out ok methinks.

In contrast they were nice and easy to paint being mostly drybrushing with various woody colours and shades of green for leaves.  The little sprites I painted quite brightly to stand out as I think they are rather cute.

Re: Dryads

Unless things come on integral bases I tend not to do much with these.  I like the contrast between painted figure and black base.  I have a liking for painting them a gloss black as I usually cover them in paint while painting the figure!

Re: Dryads

Mark; Dryads are tree spirits that live deep in the enchanted woodland realms, they normally appear as beautiful women with some aspect of trees about them - but when angered (perhaps by someone harming the forests) they take on the form you see above and attack!

You'll run into them in my campaign eventually I'm sure - their stats for EnDungeoned are as follows:

+Dryad+
Fae, Tree Kin
Move: 10"
Attack: 3WCD & 3WCD (Claws)
Defend: 3WCD*
Body: 2-3
Will: 5
Str: D10 Per: D8+1 Dex: D8
Special Rules:
>Ambush (woodland areas only)
>Flammable
>Damage Resistance (Cold Iron Negates)
>Forest Walker

Re: Dryads

Don't even need to anger them.
Dryads are vicious little bastards who'll murder you just because they feel like it. D:<
