Custom Warhammer 40k Walker (Homer Juggernaut)

This project is a mixture of:

1. A Grumman A-6E tram Intruder (never) finished when I was 7

2. A Ferrari 097 Turbo 87 (wrong) assembled when I was 6

3. Some wheels of my old M48A3 Patton, rubber bands, wire, DAS, toothpicks, plywood, plywood rods, an highlighter and some pens.

The Walker I had in my mind was a mixture of this...

...and the Space Crusade Dreadnought (I think everyone know it so I will post no pics).
So I divided the work in two parts: body and legs.

Part I - The body
1. Cut the airplane (and a finger, disinfect the finger, bandage it, realize the blood won't stop, disinfect again the finger, bandage it again and take the fucking picture).

2. Resized the wings (Since this moment until the end I heated every tool to simplify any cutting or piercing.... what a n00b, why I never done it before?)

3. Destroyed the car

4. Put the engine of the car in a funky way on the airplain

5. First arm, I used the pens for the gatling long-barrelled demolisher cannon and plywood for the structure. I took the bombs from the airplane kit and I stick them like if the weapon was constantly fed with a chain of bombs. Then I stick the entire arm below the "wing".

6. I realized I must add some cables to improve the look.

7. The second arm: the top and the end of the highlighter with some plywood rods for a gatling long-barrelled lascannon.

Part II - The legs
1. The structure of the legs made with wire.

2. The support of the body, made again with wire (it was very very hard roll it!).

3. And now the making of the legs, I simply add details with the remaining stuff and in the end I filled in the holes with DAS.

4. I add a gatling missile launcher made with toothpicks and plywood at the last moment...

5. Here the model complete, but I think I will add some more symbols in the next future.

Excellent! you've certainly got the knack for scratch building awesome monstrosities, be it fantasy monsters or sci-fi vehicles

very skilled use of parts on this one - from the F1 car engine to the tank drive-wheels and again using old pens as guns

This walker has got a great Rogue Trader type feel to it, not only because it's not a mere copy or reworking of an existing vehicle but a whole new unique machine and it also uses no standard parts of existing modern 40k vehicles, which in a way makes this a timeless model - not connected to any particular period or edition of 40k.

keep 'em coming!

I must upload something for the forum! During this time I'm trying to promote as much as possible the hobby.

Yep! I'm quite proud of this creation and it's quite effective in battle too!
But it's not indestructible, the guy with I often play defeat it 2 times in 3 battles...
It's evidence that the vehicle design rules are really balanced (and I will always suggest them to every WH40k player).
