Converting a Squat from scraps you might have

ok we all know Mantic have Forge Fathers on the way and that will be the best supply of Squats in the near future and most likely I will be buying a box of them.
But one of my many (many, many) projects I've got on the go is restoring a squad of plastic RT Squats which I plan to use in Space Crusade. Any way I came across this interesting article on a blog.

over all it's not a bad conversion and it's a clever use of parts, although I don't think trimmed down Imperial Guard parts have quite the bulk needed for a squat - now of course I have actual Squat torsos, arms, legs and heads to work with but I am short on Squat weapons for my squad (if you though that was a pun report for execution immediately!) so the Las-gun conversion is very useful to me

I also rather like the shortened Space Marine backpack, although I don't think I'll be giving my squats backpacks for fear of them looking a bit too Imperial, but maybe these might look good on Space Marine Scouts?

i like these a lot... they would suit veterans too. a nice, compact carbine. might also be cool for penal legion too
