Here's some more bits from the Realm of Chaos themed table project I'm working on at Triple Helix Wargames.

Chaos Stones

The stones are resin piece from an unknown manufacturer and seem to be casts of cork-bark pieces, on their own pretty boring looking. I painted a few of them in grey stone colours for general use, but put these ones aside as they had a more 'monolithic' look took them.
I painted them in a very similar way to my Horrors of Tzeentch, dry-brushing and blending blues and purples on different areas and bringing together to give an impression of shifting colour. The runes (some of which are the Dark Tongue runes you can find in the 'Beasts of Chaos' Army Book and the classic old Realm of Chaos books – see if you can figure out what I've written) were carefully painted on in slightly watered-down Skull White. Like the Chaos Trees you can see in the background these were also inspired by some of the concept art from Warhammer Online

Really good iridescent effect!
I've made something like that with an addition of green for a decoration of a Balrog base, but my paintjob seems less detailed than yours.
