Cardboard Heroquest-style game

Billiam Babble
Check out this game - probably a good alternative if people can't get hold of old copies of HeroQuest/AHQ (?)
Venture

Venture is being sold for $19 (plus your own ink and card ;) )

Excellent find!

Although I'm not a fan of paper 'miniatures' the rest of the game looks great and has a definite HeroQuest vibe about it (those doors, the furniture).

I'd be interested in seeing how the rules work, they seem to be based around different coloured D6s (which I'm not sure you get in the box)

The artwork looks to be of high quality and typical of a well produced modern game (the girl in a chainmail bikini doesn't hurt the game's appeal either)

all in all it looks good and by spending a little money on some real miniatures from a company like Ral Partha or using miniatures from your existing collection you can replace the paper stand-up miniatures and get the real HeroQuest feel.
considering buying this myself if I get the chance and would recommend anyone wanting to get into dungeoneering but not wanting to have to hunt down a copy of HeroQuest, Warhammer Quest or the D&D boardgame on eBay, go out and get a copy of this and some miniatures to complement it

Mmmmh... I'm glad to see how HQ-like games never die! But this time I don't feel any interest, this game doesn't attract me.
Let me better explain:
Drawing is my third passion (after the beer and my girlfriend) so if I want, I can pick up a paper and draw by myself all the doors and furniture I want for 0.0$ or If I want to use something different, I prefer to choose the (the more and more attractive) Billiam Babble stuff!
I'm courious about the rules-set too, but something let me think it will be quite expected, I'm more and more corious about "Mortis Quest" rules!

This product presents us with an interesting conundrum.  Especially when we've all boxes of old figures and a variety of dungeon crawl rules.
What fascinates me is that the photos imply that you get a box.  So wait, you download the PDF and actually make the box?   Naturally, you need somewhere to store the pieces.  I think the creators of this game know exactly what they are doing - they're reselling HQ!(?)  Also I think when we were looking up dice the other day, some of the stickered dice meant for this set appeared in the search.
Perhaps there's a sample copy of the rules somewhere to be found.

Incidentally, I'm sure I saw this game being sold in Italian as well ...
(EDIT: nope I was wrong - just in English on an Italian site)

yea I was wondering what that was all about too, being all-card I guess the whole game could be sold as PDFs and printed

I've always loved HeroQuest and judging by experiences of talking to other about it online (both before and after I setup the forum 2 years back) there are still many people out there who like it as much as I do, so the market is there for it.

I've seen some sticker'd HeroQuest like dice, but didn't know they were for this game, the website says something about providing your own coloured D6's but I was under the impression the game ran with regular D6's.  I think one of us needs to look into this further ... by which I mean buy it just for the sake of having it

$19 right?

Maybe if there was a way we could go halves?  - I twitch at spending more than $10 in a PDF order.
Perhaps we can beg a review copy for the forum?

I must agree!
Also, there are paper miniatures for heroquest online that look pretty good as well for free!
Some of my favorite Dungeon crawls:

Please send me links to great dungeon crawls!
