Dear friends, i am shocked and surprised. Not shocked and surprised that GW are bringing out a new set of paint pots as they do so at regular intervals (like the spice people schwartz. they bring out new pots regularly so you can date your spices by the style of lid- tru story) but more that the new pots are still the same size.

the new pots (in case you didnt know) are still 12 fl/oz but with a transparent lid and a seemingly more transparent pot. they alse have a small window on the lid so you can see what colour your after (fucking SERIOUSLY.... its about time!)

but dear friends, this being GW you can of course expect a fair share of cuntyness with your purchase.

the new pots are a trial- and they are runninjg the trial on probably the lowest selling paint. Not black, white, DA green, Gobbo green, boltgun metal, oh no- people want them! bloody hawke turquiose and  some stupid off-grey colour i cant remember.

so if you want the new pots then you had better buy the one clour you hardly ever use unless your a Slann kind of guy.

so seeing as how the new pots are the same size asthe old ones in volume, expect a price rise sometime soon.

just as a note: iv had a quick look for a pic of the new pots but cant find them. just imagine the wash pots but see-thru

A classic GW ploy!

Tip: Put a dab of paint from the pot on to the top of the lid so that you can see what colour the paint is. No more need for gimicks!

Check out these guys for a better alternative: http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/gb/index.html

They do a colour conversion chart for GW paints as well!

EDIT: I noticed that the General also mentions Vallejo in is paint review

On a related note; GW staff have a hard time explaining the paints they use on occasion I hear

IMHO the best alternatives to Citadel paints has to be Coat D'Arms. These guys made the original Citadel range back in the late 80's and early 90's and still carry the range under slightly different names.

You can purchase Coat D'Arms here:
