“Tumbling across the floor are the shattered remains of dozens of skeletons: a mass of bone fragments, shards, teeth, and broken skulls.”I've been quite neglectful of the forum recently and I haven’t posted anything in a while, but it's not because I haven’t been modelling and painting - the 2 main reasons I havn't posted are #1 I've been rather busy and #2 despite having got some miniatures finished recently I haven't get gotten used to the camera on my new phone, not have found a good place to take pictures, meaning I haven’t got many good photos of my recent paint jobs to show you. But anyway here are some half-decent pictures of something I painted a little while back; a Bone Swarm.
The miniature is made by Privateer Press and is described as 'an undulating mass of osseous debris given horrid life and animation by lingering necromantic energies in places where many have died. The bones of its slain victims are incorporated into the boneswarm itself, allowing it to heal damage and grow stronger and more resilient.'
Although the actual painting of the model was fairly strait forward undercoating this thing was an absolute pain in the arse, I lost count of the number of times I had to go over and over looking for little silver spots - and I swear more and more would appear each time I checked.
Of course anyone who reads my post regularly will already know how I paint bone and will thus know how I painted the Bone Swarm.
