This is my Border break mech that I finished tonite, its taken a long time to build as its fully articulated.
I know very little about "Border Break", the box is totally in Japanese, but I assume its from a manga novel as I picked it up in Forbidden planet in London

Its not actually from any game as far as I kan tell.
I don't speak or read japanese so I have very little idea about the story behingd it.
Its just a typical manga style mech.
What surprised me when I opened the box was its complexity, but the ease with which it went together and that it still articulates.
Its 1/35th in scale which roughly means that it would be 4-5 tons in weight and around 20-25 feet in height.
One thing that I quite like is the fact that it appears to have heelies :)

Wow! Great model and above all, great paintjob! What did you use for the painting? Did you use the airbrush too?

Thanks guys,
It was airbrushed with tamiya paints, I've never successfully sprayed with citalel paints.

I've heard that the new Citadel Washes are really good for spraying. Vallejo Paints are also supposed to work well too.

Vallejo work if you use the thinners, their varnishes are pretty good to.
Vallejo do their own range of thinned airbrush paints but they haven't got a lot of my favorite colours.
Tamiya paints are cheaper and when thinned go further, and can be mixed too.

I love that model & it brilliant with the articulations.Much more interesting than the vinyl 'Robocop'(by Horizon)figure I had, which was silver & black. The camoflage colouring really lifts it to a higher level, you seem to be 'The Spraymaster' on L&D.I can relate to standard figures much easier than miniatures. This is definitely a great stand(or kneal) alone figure;born out of the whole 'Transformer' thing.I picked up a 1/16 'Guyver' figure which I am really looking forward to making & painting-The films out on dvd.The Japanese certainly have a flair & Forbidden Planet sell some good stuff.
