Bid for HQ on Ebay but lost

Billiam Babble
I think the posts from LostAmongtheBarrens have renewed by curiosity about Hero Quest.  I have WHQ and AHQ but for the circle to be complete I need HQ!  It's amazing how many people I run into tell me about HQ when I talk about D&D / RPGs or dungeon floor plans.

As Mortis will tell you, there's always a something HQ-related on Ebay - especially "spares".

UK Ebay Search: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=hero+quest

I was bidding on a "complete" game which started at about £10 before postage.

It was a tough fight  and I bailed when my highest bid of £36.03 was trumped. The silly thing went for about £37 in the end.  The joke is that I'm mainly interested in the rules, dice and character cards.

The good news is that I managed to buy 1st edition Rifts for almost nothing and even better (although it's yet to arrive) for a few pennies over a tenner: a Basic D&D (Red '83) set with two floor plan sets and 2nd AD&D Ravenloft boxed set (for which I partly blame Mortis and a gamer friend who has a thing for vampires.)

So if I get addicted to Ebay again it'll be the fault of LostAmongTheBarrens.

Okay.  I also blame Mortis for sending over some really excellent HQ-style floor plans using some of the Inked Adventures graphics.

I wouldn't blame yourself for spending too much.

I seem to always bail before the bids hit £40 (before p&p), but as a result I think I must have lost about 4 HQ bids up to now and some of them weren't complete sets.

Fortunately Mortis has found me a whole load of rules PDFs - this in combination with Mortis's special boards project should see me through.

Although considering I have have WHQ and AHQ already, HQ would definitely complete the set.

EBAY IS EVIL!

You suddenly make me proud in my searchy abilities.
