Hello Everyone,
It is good to finaly bee here, my name is Kabir, at least thats what the nametag swone into my T-shirt said the last time I checked. It ether that or my name is Fruit of the Loom.... Or would that be just Fruit ? ... No that can't be right my sirname is defernaly not Loom. I am Kabir. I have been checking your forum for a while now, and its safe to say you guys and gals have a very good place here. I am from Maidstone Kent. When I was younger I really enjoyed the Fighting Fantasy Books. They helped me learn to read. I also enjoyed playing Hero Quest and Space Crusade. As well as all the other cool Games Workshop games of the early 90's. Funny enough though I rearlly played much if any full Warhammer or WH40K. Enven though I did enjoy Advanced Hero Quest and War Hammer Quest, even Adanced Space Crusade and Talisman I started on 2nd edition. I even brought the Warhammer Magic expation pack 4th edition or was it 3rd? I can not remember. So that I could use it in Advanced Hero Quest. I tried for years to get the the warhammer army book Wood elf 5th ed and the magic box to fit into my Advance Hero Quest and Space Crusade Board games.. I never could get the numbers or rules to fit. I was able to buy a hand full of White Dwarf issues over my time. The fist one I got was WD 145 blue space crusade issue. I loved it as it had new rules for all my games. BUT the biggest thing from that issue was the WH40K 1sted Tyraind army List. I really enjoyed the Zoat and Squiggs, and genstellers of course, and the rule to allow almost any other army unit in to the tyranid force. I had visions of controlling a group of Squats and zoats in Space Crusade. So I keept that issue anlong with my other game stuff. Untill I had enough rules and information to make my game campain just way I wanted it. I kept on adding to my pile of games and books and magazines unitil GW stopped producing and selling the games, rules, ect.. In the end they ended up with just WH and 40k followed by LOTRs. At this time I had gone on to other hobbies such as my console game collection. [ The console games are another post entirely.] If I am alowed to type about those games and you peeps would like to hear them I can regail you sometime. Back to the GW games I continued gathing them through the internet, and downloads. Untill my computer broke down and I lost my digital colloction. At least I had my games. That was untill the family decided to sell up and move over seas. I moved along with the rest of the family. Exept my old games never made it. The combination of The rest of the family throwing my stuff away, and the shipping company loosing the remaider someware on the high seas. Also the hard drive of my computer died and I lost all of my old games stuff. The family finaly setteled in Malaysia, (it is next to Sinapore.) I still miss home. I have been here almost 5 years... Eeek that sounds like along time. I am also finaly peacing back together my collection of old GW games. Well the old rule books, and army lists anways. It is getting Harder and Harder to find the stuff now. Luckly though I have found your place it seems to have alot of good people and resorces on it. It is super late over here now. I am typing this at 3.45am Malaysian time, and I have work in the morning. Oh one last thing. How do I go about adding stuff to your site, it form of posts, and downloads? Will I need to send it to the admin first, or can I attch downloads dircrly to your forum? Or would you like me to just display link to other pages and sites? I am asking as some other forums and websites can be a bit perticular about adding and or even comenting and helping otheres on those sites and /or pages. |

Barr Weep Granna Weep Ninybomb! Welcome to The Lost and the Damned Forum Kabir Sounds like you have a fine reputable gaming history - you'll fit in just fine around here We have a Computer Games Section where you are welcome to discuss your Wargame and RPG related computer/console games and as you probably also know we have sections for the HeroQuest & Warhammer Quest 'family' of games as well as Space Hulk and Space Crusade You are free to upload any resources you might have for any of the games we discuss here - the 'Upload a File' option can be found under the 'More Options' button menu (top right of the posting text box) the maximum file size is 5Mb, but there is no limit to the number of files you can upload - you can also use the 'Insert Image' option (top left) to upload most formats of pictures to the forum. You are also welcome to link to an external file-hosting site for file too big for the forum (I've started using one called Keep and Share recently) We try not to have too many rules about posting around here - let common sense be your guide when you're posting and if there is a problem with a post me or another Admin will normally jump in and try and sort it out in a civilised manner I hope you enjoy being a member of The Lost and the Damned Forum and I look forward to your posts
