An Owlbear! Oh my....

Hello again.  As promised to my housemate here is another post of something I finished quite recently for an adventure.

A quest based on the infamous DragonStrike instructional video led to some fine adventures and also to my (just finished in time) Owlbear!

He is from Blacktree Designs and came as part of a monster pack.  

I've always loved the owlbear idea since I had a choose you own adventure book as a child that I read a LOT!  The owlbear pictured in it is always the way I see them but finding a sculpt like that one has been almost impossible.  This is the closest I've seen.

                                                                        

Mostly dry brushing in brown and then tan type colours for the fur, I lightened the feathers using shades up to bleached bone.  The eyes were quite big so I attempted pupils but I'm not sure about the sucess of this and might repaint and try again!

Nice stuff Cat - over all great paint job and I think you've done a pretty good job on the eyes too
