Apparently "Advanced Fighting Fantasy has been completely revised and rewritten for a new generation." - let's hope that doesn't mean it be ruined ...

ok point of this post is that I've just come across This.

Apparently there's a few changes but it's still true to the original spirit, I bet you that the text for Titan is identical ;)

A while back I put some links on my aStore page (page 6) - by the way - I sell almost nothing through the aStore! http://adventuresandshopping.blogspot.com/p/solo-gamebooks-on-amazon.html (Amazon UK prices)

Arion are selling through Cubicle 7 http://shop.cubicle7store.com/epages/es113347.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es113347_shop/Categories/Arion_Games

I thought that there were some PDF versions but I think I'm wrong (it's easier for me to swing review copies ;) )

I can't remember all the details of what slloyd was saying but he writes quite a bit on the subject of the new publications: http://virtualfantasies.blogspot.com/search/label/advanced%20fighting%20fantasy

Looks like we're still awaiting the Crown of Kings Campaign pack to be published which shall be interesting, to say the least. :)

Ooh, this gives me a chance to play around with some widgets.

Widgets you call them? WITCH CRAFT says I! - pictures sliding along the screen ... 'tis  truly the work of Beelzebubbles and his vile pixies!

(sorry I appear to have had an odd reaction to new and usual things)

back to normal now I promise

well there's a new list of things I have to buy now!

I'm hoping most of the changes will be minor - rules clarifications and the like, although if they happen to tweak the combat system in the ways you and me talked about a little time ago I wouldn't mind so much ...

mainly I hope they do enough to make it worth buying a new version, but not so much as to change the game - a little change is good, but too much change is frightening, like book covers sliding across my screen in ungodly ways!

I keep forgetting to post how much this made me giggle.

At least once a day I demand that someone should be burnt for witchcraft or heresy!
Amazon widgets are a particularly evil habit.

I'm not planning to buy the new AFF right at the moment but it's definitely on my long term wishlist of shiny new books -as opposed to the dog eared moth eaten spine-broken basement smelling  second hand rules from Ebay which is my normal fare these days.
