Went on a bit of a binge the other day at the bath model centre and bought myself a pair of hummers and some US soldiers, going to convert them up to be 'ultra modern' i.e. as close to current kit as I can make them, no small task really.

I think it did at one point when 'modern' was still now, 'modern' seems to have slipped into becomming a term for the 90s or thereabouts. In wargaming terms I'd say it was 70s 80s or 90s era, with anything between 1945 and the 60s being post-war.

post-modern or ultra-modern until something or someone comes along to define the era I guess.
